New Memorial Tree launched at Annual Memorial Service

24th July 2018

Another lovely sunny day on 15th July 2018 saw Richard Steel & Partners open their beautiful Garden of Remembrance at Chesil House for their Annual Memorial Service.

Kindly led by the Revd. Paul Bradish, the open air service included hymns, readings, a time for reflection and the opportunity for everyone to scatter a few petals in the flowing water of their private tributary of the River Itchen.

Afterwards tea and cakes were served and the retiring collection raised over £300 for The Minstead Trust (a charitable organisation supporting people with learning difficulties to lead a full and active life)

The congregation had the chance to have a sneak preview of the new building works currently nearing completion in September 2018. The new Service Chapel, Gathering Room and Balcony were well received as a future venue for funerals and post ceremony receptions.

The new Memorial Tree was launched with the opportunity to dedicate an individual  leaf in memory of a loved one for 3, 5 or 10 years.  Simply ask for an application form.
